Who in your opinion is the top 10 players in the NHL, dont go by just goals alone..top ten names and teams
1. Sidney Crosby, Pitsburgh (Need I say more)
2. Joe Thornton, SJ (Very Dominating player, great hands and can score)
3. Jarome Iginla, Calgary (Best power forward in the league)
4. Dany Heatley, Ottawa (Excellent all-around player under Murray and can score 50 goals)
5. Scott Niedermayer, Anaheim (Hall of Famer)
6. Joe Sakic, Colorado (Can still rack up the points at his age and an excellent leader)
7. Niklas Lidstrom, Detroit (Hummm, 3 Norris)
8. Roberto Luongo, Vancouver (Best goalie in the league)
9. Chris Pronger, Anaheim (Most intimidating player in the league that can score too)
10. Martin St-Louis, Tampa Bay (Speed, scoring ability, good sense of hockey)

If you're wondering why Ovechkin is not on my list, the asker said not to concentrate on goals which is what Ovechkin is, a pure goal scorer.
To narrow the entire nhl to 10 players is purely based on opinion, its a fools pursuit. Thats such a dynamic question about an entirely dynamic game with so many factors influencing the answer it is nearly impossible to answer.
