My dog is about seven orneight years old. He alwYs had worn a harness when he was with his previous owners. Did he lose his hair from the harness or are not supposed to have under arm hair. He is a shiba inu and I don't know if this is normal for the breed or something.. Help???
short haired breeds likdo dogs have armpitse shibas(even tough she is a thick coated breed) have little or no arm pit hair. breeds with long hair that keeps on growing such as shih tzus and poodles will have pit hair. good question!

i would say the harness rubbed it.
some breeds havdo dogs have armpitse thin hair under and i think this is one of them.
I actually looked and NO. Mine have peach fuzz or nothing....LOL
He probably lost his hair from the harness because my dog has hair there. Shiba Inus are pretty furry. See if there is even a little bit there signalling that it is growing back.
