I upgraded firefoz 4 to 6.2, but now I cannot use FDM.
Try download accelerator plus. It is a free software, and it is compatible with most of the browsers including Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 6 and Google Chrome. But take care while installinfree firefox 2 downloadg. It tries to install some toolbar, which changes your search engines in browser. You will need to unselect that checkbox while you install the software.
I know there is a downloader in Avant Browser 2011. I use it as a tool.
You just need tofree firefox 2 download download the USB version of avant browser, unzip it and remove the other files leaving only adownloader.exe for downloading.
