i use ares u know the file sharing thing, anyway i had it for about a year and then suddenly it froze like it's not downloading anymore. it connects and everything but then when you go to transfer it's like frozen the files i was trying to download it drows like the connecting sign or searching sign and it never does connect, and when you click on the + and it shows all the users it says idle for all of them. anyway my old computer used to be like that and then i got a new one i only had it for like a month or something and it did the same thing on this too. do you know what it is? can you help me? how do i get it to work again. o and i tried erasing the whole ares program and downloading it again, and it stil didn't work. and the same transfer files appeared on there too. i really want it to work.

Do not use file sharing. It can be illegal. Download a program called Handbrake. it rips DVDs and you can put it on your computer or ipod.

When in doubt, uninstall, and reinstall. This will reset to defaults. Chances are it's your connection, or the entire system has been shut down. Because it is illegal. (I can tell you are using an illegal program because legal programs have a help line you can call and get help, so you wouldn't bother posting here). Did you just download an update? Sometimes those will nullify the entire program. So don't install updates. But just so you know... using Bit torrent is a far better choice for illegal warez. You can even get legal stuff there, stuff so old it's in public domain, like uncle tom's cabin on audio book.
