adobe updates"Adobe updates are ready to be installed" keeps flashing from the bottom of my keyboard?

Who put this here, do I need adobe for anything urgent, what do I do to start it, what do I do to get rid of the balloon?
That's most likely for Adobe Reader, which is used to view PDF documents, which are used fairly often. You may not actually use it often, though the fact that it's installed indicates that you probably have used it.

You should install the updates though, since there have been some secuadobe updatesrity problems in the past that are frequently being fixed. Clicking on the balloon should open the update installation page, and the balloon should go away after the update is installed.
it is there because you installed either Flash Player or Reader. the updates are usually pretty important, and some web pages won't load without the latest Flash Player, just like some PDFs won't open without the latest Readadobe updateser update.

if you have no problems accessing web site data, then you may feel free to ignore it, but it will keep warning you til you take care of it...
adobe did
they are certainly offering you the latest and if you don't want it you can always click on the 'later' button
or just download it now and that will take care of anything in the future(until a new one comes out)
