Avatar has recently broken the USD$1 billion mark to become the HIGHEST profit earning film of all time, followed by Titanic, thanks to James Cameron's 3D cinematography.
I was just wondering - if James Cameron had directed The Matrix in 3D, or had worked with the Wachowski Brothers in The Matrix, it would have produced a better box office record than Titanic?
No. Timatrix 3dtanic was an epic phenomenon that wouldn't have been beaten. Haha imagine how Titanic would have done in 3D!!
I don't think so...a lot of people were disappointed with Matrix 3 (I wasn't, I loved it) I don't think 3D would've made a difference.
Probably would, so far 3d showings of these movies are doing better than the 2d showings, selling more tickets. Usually 2 and even umatrix 3dp to 4 times to every 1 2d ticket sold. Forget about getting an imax 3d ticket for Avatar, sold out usually. Almost every time you can get into to see the 2d version. Also something like 75% of the profits for Avatar comes from the 3d ticket sells. People don't realize how much 3d tickets these movies are moving.
