game maker softwareWhat is the best 3d game maker software for pc?

Hi there!

I want to make First person shooter games. Such as: Call of duty, Far cry etc. So, can anyone please inform me that what is the best game maker software? so that I can make these type of games.

Please help.
Creating such games usually takes an army of people and different technologies: programmers, animators, testers, ...

So you need several pieces of software to write a game. Here are some.

- Unless you want to program your game engine you need a game engine such as Unreal 3D, Crytech, Gamebryo, ...

- You need a 3D animation package. Most popular for game development are Maya, 3DS Max and Softimage XSI. I suggest Softimagegame maker software XSI.

- You will need a programming environment because you'll have to write code to glue all the pieces together, etc. Microsoft Visual Studio is quite popular in the game space.

However. If programming is not your first interest, you can start by writing a game mod. You can take an existing game such as Half Life 2, Far Cry, etc, and start adding your own characters, your own levels, or even change the whole game play.

I think mods is a good starting place. Softimage creates a great program called XSI that is used for creating games. It usually cost at least a couple of thousands of dollars. But they have a free version that's done spegame maker softwarecifically for game mods with workflows to new content to some of the most popular game platforms. Just google Softimage XSI Mod Tool or see the link below.

That depends on your skill set. Alot of them have moved toward a C like language.

The Torque game engine is good and it will allow you to port your games to the PC, WII, XBOX, etc.

If your only interested in PC games then you could consider 3d game studio.

The most important part is graphics and modeling. No matter what engine you use, you must be able to create the graphics outside of the engine.

If you have the 10,000 to start, I'll let you know.
Try Maya.
